September 15, 2010 : Honda Siel Cars India has announced the launch of special edition Honda Jazz, the first premium compact car in the class that will be available in the festival season in India. The Honda Jazz has features like trunk spoiler, side step illumination, special edition badge and interior silver panel. In addition to that, the car is being sold with attractive offers during the festival time as well. The special edition has been launched at the annual Honda event-The Great Honda Fest.

August 9, 2010: Honda Seil cars India launched a new variant of their popular hatchback Honda Jazz that has been named as Jazz X. The car has been shelved at a price tag of Rs. 7.53 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and boasts of many additional features that the older version lacked in. The inclusion of alloy wheels, a new grille, fog lamps, driver seat height adjuster, blue-black interiors, a much needed USB port for the stereo system and a brand new shade have added a new life to the already popular Honda Jazz.  Apart from these cosmetic changes the engine capabilities remain the same as the car is powered by a four-cylinder 1198cc Vtec motor that produces max power of 89bhp and 11.2kgm of torque. Japanese auto manufacturer, Honda Motor Co. has launched its luxurious hatchback model Honda Jazz in India on June 10, 2009 this year. Honda Jazz is the most eagerly awaited small car since Honda announced about its launch, being the first small car in Honda's product portfolio in India. Honda Jazz is a luxurious small car and is equipped with all luxurious features of a C-segment luxury sedan that leads Honda Jazz price wise a high end model. However, Honda used the Honda City platform to build this car for reducing the Honda Jazz price as the overall manufacturing cost would otherwise increase. The launch of Honda Jazz is the entry of Honda in the small car market in India and it will compete the other luxurious hatchback of this segment such as Skoda Fabia, Hyundai i20 and Chevrolet SRV.

Honda Jazz is a premium hatchback car and is most likely to be equipped with a 1.2L, 1198cc, 4-cylinder power plant that will produce 90PS power @ 6200 rpm and 116 Nm torque @ 4900 rpm. The powerful engine of this car offers great acceleration and enables it to cross the mark of 100kmph in just 11.2 seconds and achieve the top speed mark of 165kmph. The newer version of Honda Jazz was launched with a 1.3L and a 1.5L engine options in UK while in India it is initially available only with a 1.2L engine. However, for Indian market, company announced that its 1.5L version will be introduced by the end of this year.

The stylish and sporty exteriors of Honda Jazz with sharp lines and central bonnet ridge are able to attract the youth. Its front grille gives it the CR-V type look but the sharp headlamps, steeply raked windscreen, alloy wheels and ellipsoidal glass area and newer tail lamp design make it the more attractive. Honda Jazz has been launched with three variants and all its variant will be equipped with active safety features like dual front airbags, side airbags, ABS (Anti lock Brake System) and EBS. Other attractive features of Honda Jazz are its automatic climate control, leather seats, keyless entry, power steering, power windows, A/C, CD/MP3 players, automatic headlights and many more things. Honda Jazz got the car of the year award in Japan in year 2001 and 2002 and now it is ready to storm the Indian market with a few updates.

Honda Jazz Basic	It is the base variant of Honda Jazz.
Honda Jazz Mode	The additional features that this variant of Honda Jazz offers in comparison to base variants are – Side Step Garnish (Front and Rear), Body Colored Side Moulding, Corner Protector, Body Colored Mud Clups (Both Side), Interior Panel Visior Meter.
Honda Jazz Active	It is the top end variant of Honda Jazz that offers some additional features in comparison to Honda Jazz Mode that are - Sports Paddle, Tail Gate Spoiler, Aggressive Front Grille with Fog Lamp.

Honda Jazz Fuel Economy and Mileage

The new 1.2L, i-VTEC (Variable Valve Timing with Electronic Lift Control) engine which is specially designed to increase fuel efficiency, with EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) technology of Honda Jazz offers high engine performance with better fuel efficiency – The test result of rule 115 says that under the standard test condition (at which two passengers are sit on front seat and drive car at average speed), gives a mileage of 13kmpl in city and 16kmpl on highway.
